Location in the old town is very convenient. Service is good. We have a free upgrade to a suite for just Rmb 420 a nite since its off-peak season. Very worth it. Breakfast serving until 1pm is very good since we don't have to rush. Nice hotel. The food in the restaurant is also good. (Lijiang Wangfu Hotel)

It was a dark, damp and a snowy day when I arrived to discover this magnificent authentic Chinese Inn. The room was warm, clean, and up to day 5 star plumbing. The restaurant was perfect and the service superb. Our host arranged transport as well. Wow! (Yide Hotel Pingyao)

Great location for tourists rather than business areas. I stayed twice in 3 rooms and found it quite noisy though. Rooms clean but a little dated now a lick of paint & new carpets all that is needed. Great showers. This is mainly a budget Travelodge type place for Chinese. English only speakers will just about get by so long as you don't have complex needs but you will live (there is a KFC opposite and a McD next door!) I have stayed at the hotel twice with my best friend Rohan Fernando & we like the hotel very much.
